Overview
Aspiring photographers, designers and basically everyone who would like to have a portfolio section on their DNN site don’t have to wrack their brains anymore. Check out this out-of-the-box DNN Portfolio module to set up an attractive and easily manageable portfolio with the set of handy accompanying tools and options - all in one module.
Adding works into portfolio
- As soon as you install the module on the page, click the “Create Project” link in order to start adding portfolio works.
- On the project creation page you can fill in the regular details such as: project’s name; description; technologies that have been used during the creation of the project; indicate project’s link; check the “Open link in new window” box if you’d like the project to be opened in the new window.
- Three next options will allow creating and managing portfolio’s categories. In order to add a category, locate the appropriate field, write in the name of the category and click “Create”. The newly created category will then appear in the drop down menu in the field above. Choose the appropriate category for the project and click “Add to”. The project will appear in the field above. In order to remove the project from the category, highlight the category and click Remove.
- Three next options will allow adding main image as well as project’s thumbnails. Click “Upload” button and browse your computer for the pictures you would like to upload. You will need one big “main” picture and a smaller version of the main picture to generate a thumbnail preview image. After adding the necessary amount of images click “Add to” button.
- Click Save project button to make the site appear in the portfolio.
- If you have more than one work in the portfolio, you can move them on the page by clicking the “Up”
or “Down” 
arrow buttons.
Additional editing options
There are a few more options worth mentioning that may help to improve your portfolio.
- Moving the categories in the list.
On the left you can see the categories that we previously created presented in the list. It is possible to change their order by clicking on the category you need to move, and clicking “Up” or “Down” arrows to move the category up or down the list.
You can also remove the category from the list completely by clicking the red button located next to it.
- Changing categories’ names.
Right under the list with the categories there’s an option that enables to change the name of the category right here on the page. First click on the category you would like to change the name for, write in the new name in the field mentioned above and click the round check mark button to confirm the changes.
- Removing / Editing the project.
In order to remove or edit the project simply click on the appropriate link located in the top right corner above the portfolio project.
