Overview
If you run your business via the help of the website the DNN Request a Quote module won’t look out of place and will be of great help. Request a Quote module is an order form that will enable you to receive requests from you users or potential clients.
Module’s Settings
As soon as the module is installed on the page, two tabs will appear: “Unquoted” and “Quoted”. Later on as you’ll be receiving orders from your clients these tabs will be filled up with either unquoted or quoted forms which will give you a better overview of the orders you have replied or haven’t replied to yet.
Let’s figure out what settings the module has to offer. Click on the “Settings” icon located on the right side underneath the module and scroll down until you see “Request a Quote” settings.

- Ticking the first “Save requests on the server” checkbox will enable you to preserve quoted clients’ forms for future references.
- The next checkbox either adds or removes the “Phone” field from the contact form. If the field is present in the request form, it’ll be marked as a requested field.
- Use next field enables to insert an email address you’ll be receiving request forms to.
- The “Project types” field is obligatory to fill out as your request form won’t be working unless it features some project types to choose from. Write in any project type, Websites for example, and click “Add a Project Type” link next to the field. You can either modify or remove project type any time you want.
- Indicate a message subject in the next field.
- “Message template” option displays the way a copy of the form with request’s details will be sent to you. You can’t add new values, but it is possible to change their positions.
- Click “Update” to save the settings.
