Video Player - Documentation

Once the Web Part is added to the page, you should adjust some configurations:

SharePoint Video Player

Media library site path is a path to the SharePoint site where you can find the list/library with a media file to be played in the player. You should leave the field blank if the library/list is located on the current site or if you want to give a direct link to the media file.

Media library name is a library/list where the necessary media file is located. If you are not using the direct link to the media file or connected view for the Web Part, the field is mandatory.

Media library view name is a custom library/list view where the necessary media file is located. If you want to use the list/library itself, leave the field blank.

File Name / URL is the direct link to the media file (or the file name) when using a library or the record (line) ID when using a list (starts with 1). If you don’t use the connected view for the Web Part, this field is mandatory.

Player skin – you can yourself find the skin which is the best fit for the media player.

Player height (px) / Player width (px) is the size of the player itself.

Autoplay – check the box if you want to play the media file during the page upload automatically.

Show file info – the player has the feature of showing the file name and its description. For the feature to be available, a list/library with a media file has to have “Video Title” and “Video Description” columns.

Moreover, you can link up the Web Part with a list/library located on the same page. To do this, switch to the site editing mode, then in the menu of the relevant list/library go to Edit->Connections->Provide Row To Coding Staff Video Player.

Thus, the list/library will work as a module playlist. In this case, the settings of the site path, library name, and the file name in the module settings are inessential.
